Corona Virus Update
The Upton Victory Hall Executive Team have worked hard to ensure that members and visitors to the Upton site are as safe as possible during this difficult time and continue to do so.
Following the announcement of the government routemap, we shall be able to open the site from the 29th March for outdoor sport only, although some of the clubs using the grass courts and greens will not be able to play on them until Saturday 10th April due to green maintenance needs.
Currently we offer bowls, croquet, and tennis outdoors via the on-site clubs. New members are always welcome particularly so at present when regular exercise is so important. It should be noted that we have been able to play these sports throughout most of the first lockdown and tier system limits.
The Hall has been set up under the governments COVID-secure guidelines and will be able to open for all children’s activities and indoor parent and child groups from Monday 12th April. Thus, we would like to welcome back all our current hirers providing these services and any new hirers who may wish to join us from this date.
From the 17th May indoor adult group support and exercises can also re-start as can indoor hospitality (table service only). However, the ‘rule of six’ or two households mixing will still be in place outdoors so members will need to be aware of this and conform to these rules.
From the 21st June the government hopes to remove all limits on social contact and then UVH will be operating as normally.
All these dates are of course subject to the ongoing tests set by the government.
